For hotels, the two risks are bed bugs in guest rooms and cockroaches in kitchens and back-of-house. We run a monthly programme for the kitchen, laundry, stores and public areas. Bed bug reports get a same-room, adjacent-room inspection and treatment. Rooms are treated when they are empty, around your occupancy.
Bed bugs in hotels
- A reported room is taken out of sale, inspected, and treated with a residual spray on the bed base, frame, headboard, furniture joints and skirting.
- The rooms on either side and above are inspected at the same visit, because bed bugs move through walls and with luggage.
- On a hotel contract, bed bug control is part of the monthly programme. Rooms are rechecked on the next visit.
- Housekeeping sees rooms every day. A short check at each turnover finds problems early. See guest room turnover and bed bug prevention.
Kitchen, laundry and back-of-house
- Residual spray and gel bait for cockroaches in kitchens, staff canteens and bars.
- Traps inside stores and service corridors; locked bait stations outside on the perimeter.
- Misting for mosquitoes in gardens and pool areas; thermal fogging for large grounds.
- Linen and laundry routes checked. See hotel laundry and linen.
Working around guests
We agree a schedule with your operations team: guest rooms when empty, kitchens after service, public areas at quiet times. No treatment is done while a guest is in the room.
When a guest complains
What the front desk says in the first hour decides the review. See handling guest pest complaints.
Common questions
Can a treated room be sold the same day?
A room treated with a residual spray is ventilated and dried before use. The technician confirms the time for each room.
Do you provide reports for brand audits?
Yes: visit reports, station maps and product safety data sheets, in English.
